Roca Azul Club

Roca Azul Club was originally a Luxury Resort and sports Park, opened 40 years ago, on the Western shores of beautiful Lake Chapala inside a gated community.  The entire several acre Club grounds are magnificent, with fully grown shade trees,  impressive  landscaping, shaded brick walks, benches, fountains, several shaded picnic areas with brick BBQ’s, and a huge incredible children’s playground. There are two basketball courts; two concrete volley-ball courts, a sand volleyball court, a tennis court, and two futbol (soccer) fields. There is a concrete wall and sidewalk along the lake shore, leading to a lighthouse. There are two swimming pools, with showers and change rooms. The larger pool has a sauna available on week-ends. There is a large clubhouse with a snack bar. For a small fee, you can use the billiard or the pool table, as well as table football (futbolito).

During the winter of 2004, after the closing of a local RV Park, Roca Azul Club decided to add a section for RV’s. Each site was carefully planned and built, providing the biggest and best sites in the area. All have all new plumbing, electric connections and drainage. This area has been continually expanded and improved.  We now have 52 sites (most are 25 x 45 ft) with full hookups; most have a nice brick patio, as will the rest of the sites as improvements continue.  The RV Park provides 30 amp service, 40 lb. water pressure and excellent drains. At the Clubhouse you have free Internet access by Wi-Fi; you also have free showers and a free laundry room.   The entire park is available for your enjoyment free of additional charges.

The park is owned and operated  by Rafael Sanchez Barba and his family.  They will make arrangements for individual and group tours and visits to Guadalajara and surrounding attractions during your stay..
